Jarai in Cambodia
This website recounts my spring 2006 work in Ratanakiri, Cambodia, doing research on the Jarai language. My conclusions are tentative, and the analysis is still in progress.
Language Log
Here you'll find articles that deal with a whole range of linguistics issues - both in research, and also in culture and public life.
"Linguistics" article at Citizendium.org
Citizendium is an online compendium of articles (it may eventually become an encyclopedia). If you have the time and ability, I'd encourage you to become an author at Citizendium and contribute. Unlike Wikipedia, Citizendium uses credentialed (volunteer) editors who oversee the work done by authors, and there's no anonymous article writing or article editing. These differences (along with others) should eventually result in higher-quality articles than Wikipedia has - though there will never be as many articles, because Citizendium plans to restrict the proliferation of niche articles. Citizendium also has a family-friendly policy.
SIL
SIL (formerly Summer Institute of Linguistics) has a remarkable amount of linguistics information on their website. As a world leader in descriptive linguistics work, SIL contributes enormous amount of data and expertise to the linguistics community.
