LING 3340 (Grammar & Morphology)

Baileian Developmentalism
The presentation from 30 September 2008 (Historical & Comparative Linguistics) is here: Charles-James Bailey: Time-Based Linguistic Analysis (Developmentalism).
Adoption language
My ACES PowerPoint presentation is available here in PPT 2007 format. The handout from the presentation is here as a PDF.
Linked here is a copy of my Adoption Language Handout from Pragmatics class. My paper (here) ended up focusing on the word "birthmother". I'm planning to prepare a follow-up paper with more analysis of how connotation arises in certain classes of compound nominals.
The writing at the top
The symbols at the top are how my name, "Josh", is written in IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet). Down at the bottom you can see my first and last names, "Josh Jensen", also in phonetic transcription.
