I have recently become the Chair of the Department of Linguistics & TESOL at the University of Texas at Arlington. These pages are in the process of being updated.

My research
The two primary areas of my research are phonological theory and Native American languages, focusing on prosody, reduplication, meter in the former and Tohono O’odham (phonology, documentation, and revitalization) in the latter. More recently, I have developed expertise in American English dialects, multiculturalism, and service-learning. For a look at my CV, click here. (At some point, I will add in links to downloadable papers and handouts.)
